The Sky Terrace 428 is Hong Kong’s highest observation deck at an elevation of 428 metres above sea level. It is an open-air 360 degree viewing platform that is located atop the Peak Tower on Victoria Gap at the Victoria Peak. The Peak Tower was opened to the public in 1997 and went another round of renovation with costs running up to $100 million and it opened to the public in 2006.
The new ultra-modern steel & glass tower is situated in such a way that it does not interrupt the natural line of the hills. - By MTR – The nearest MTR stations are Central and Admiralty. Both are about 800m away from the Peak Lower Terminus, from where you can take a Peak tram to the top.

Tips for Visiting the Sky Terrace 428
- Check the weather and smog condition before heading to the Sky Terrace 428 as the deck is open to the air.
- The best time to visit the Sky Terrace 428 would be on weekday nights, as that limits the local population and families. The terrace is open till 11 PM; however you need to be careful of the Peak Tram closing time if that’s how you wish to head back.
- The cheapest way to purchase tickets is to pre-book your tickets. Headout offers a 12% discount on the combo Peak Sky Pass which offers return tickets on the Peak Tram and entry to the Sky Terrace 428.
- For cheaper means of transport to the Peak, consider using bus number 15 which makes it way from the city centre to the Peak and is cheaper than taking the Tram.

The view from up here was simply beautiful, we spent well over half an hour admiring the view and taking photos. They only gave us free headsets and tapes for audio guides. They distracted the kids for a while, but they also enjoyed it. Pretty great for photo ops as well. The telescopes available were also remarkable and let us see soooo far ahead, it was pretty cool. Well worth the price on top of it.
