Stalls
The Stalls section is the largest in the theater with a total of 862 seats, including accessible seating.
It curves in a semi-circle around the stage and has a steep rake ensuring good views, even towards the rear of the auditorium. It is split into three main subsections by two wide aisles, with the middle section offering the best views and the side sections facing the stage at an angle. There is one large horizontal aisle that goes halfway through the seating. Legroom in this section is particularly good, and all of the seats are plush and comfortable. The best seats can be found in rows D-O. Premium seats are in rows E-I, however rows J-M boast just as good a view for a cheaper price.
Theatre Circle
The Circle section has 292 seats. This is a much smaller section, with five rows divided into three blocks. Seats do not feel far from the stage here and also curve in a semi-circle around the stage. Views are still excellent in this section, and generally cost less than those in the Stalls. Sitting in the middle offers the best views, similar to the view from the Stalls.
Which seats offer the best view?
Seats within the Stalls generally offer a good view of the stage. It is best to avoid the Circle for children's show, however, since these seats have restricted views for those of a smaller height and can frustrate children.
The best views are in the middle seats of rows D-I in the Stalls section, or the middle seats of rows A-C in the Circle section.
Which seats offer the best value for money?
Discounts are available both in the Circle and in seats down the sides of the stage. Fortunately, productions that come to the Gillian Lynne Theatre play to all sides of the audience, so views will be great all around the theatre. In order to save some bucks, you can get seats in rows M-P in the Stalls, or rows D & E in the Circle section.
