The Sound Inside Opens On Broadway At Studio 54!

The Sound Inside opens on Broadway and is expected to run until 12th January, 2020.

The Sound Inside by Adam Rapp opens at Broadway at Studio 54 on 17th October. Directed by David Cromer, the play explores the relationship between a tenured Yale University professor, who is also a cancer patient, and a student who helps her overcome her difficulties. The psychological thriller stars Tony Award winner Mary-Louise Parker and Will Hochman in his Broadway debut. Parker was nominated thrice for the Tony Award, and she won it in 2001 for Proof. She has performed in several hit-productions such as A Prelude to A Kiss, Heisenberg, The Snow Geese, How I Learned To Drive, Four Dogs And A Bone, Reckless, and Hedda Gabler. She has also featured in several successful TV shows such as The West Wing, When We Rise, Angels in America, Mr. Mercedes, Billions, and many more. Parker’s portrayal of Bella Baird in The Sound Inside is profoundly moving and is sure to have you on the edge of your seat.

The story revolves around Bella, a 53-year-old novelist and Yale professor, who prefers solitude to the company of others. However, she is forced to change her ways, when she receives a devastating cancer diagnosis and is told that she has a slim chance of making it. Realizing that this is a challenge she can’t handle on her own, she partners with Christopher, a smart yet strange student at the university. The play goes on to intensely explore the meaning of human relationships and the degree to which one person can help another.
