Buckle up ! @TheDriveIn Cinema London Is Set To Roll This July

Last Updated On

With the mercury inching up, this is usually the time of the year when Londoners headout to star-canopied outdoor screenings - armed with a blanket and bottle(s) of prosecco. Also popcorn. We know this year has been nothing but ordinary, however, you still have a chance to live these dreams of cinema under the stars. The all new @TheDriveIn cinema is coming to London and the UK, starting July!

Here's your chance to re(live) the magic of the great American drive in theatre - a contact-free way to experience film, theatre and live performances. From the latest blockbusters to cult classics, stand-up comedy to live music, bingo or a silent car disco - The Drive In is among 2020's must-do London summer experiences.

What is @TheDriveIn London?

The @TheDriveIn is starting its tour UK wide from July, parking up in London first before heading off to car parks across the country. Running for 12 weeks across 11 cities, @TheDriveIn invites passengers to pull up for a host of drive-in experiences that extend way beyond the cinema.

Films will range from 80s classics to blockbuster movies from the teenies and inbetweenies (that’s 2013-2019 and 2010-2012, in case you’re scratching your head), complete with a food delivery app serving American-style dishes and snacks via roller waiters who will bring your order to a drop off point by your car. .

This tour will swing by London twice, in south London from 2-5 July, and cruising into east London from 17-20 September.
