What are some handy tips for using these passes?

  1. People love attraction passes that give them a whole host of choices and the more the number of attractions, the better. However, you should plan ahead and decide the attractions that you would like to visit so that the experiences are spaced out comfortably and you don’t waste a lot of time travelling. For example, Burj Khalifa and the Dubai Aquarium are next to each other while Ski Dubai is almost on the other side of town. Do not fit Ski Dubai in between Burj Khalifa and Dubai Aquarium since it will be highly inefficient and will end up wasting a lot of time traveling.
  2. Prioritize attractions with higher entrance fees, it is the easiest way to save money and recover your costs. This aspect of the attraction pass has been highlighted in the cost-benefit analysis section above. When you plan your travel itinerary out, ensure that you check the individual prices of the attractions you’ll visit to note how much it is that you’ll be saving.
  3. Some attractions are extra special when they are visited at certain times of the day. For example, visiting the Dubai Aquarium in the evening allows you to go outside the Dubai Mall and view the magical Dubai fountain show. Some people love to watch a sunset on their Burj Khalifa visit while some choose to go in the morning to avoid the late visitor crowds. Check locations and if the attraction will be better in the day or at night.
  4. Try to incorporate the hop-on-hop-off bus tour if you’re new to the city. It opens up easy access to a large number of attractions, making visiting them extremely easy. It also cuts down your transportation cost and allows you to visit a large number of attractions with ease. With the hop-on-hop-off bus tour, you also get free access to additional attractions and museums in Dubai.
  5. Do ensure that you have checked the timings of the attractions that you would like to visit. It would be quite a downer to visit an attraction only to know that it is closed. Some attractions close by 10:00 PM while some close at 11:00 PM. The opening hours of the attractions also vary. Make sure to check these timings out before you head out.
  6. While in Dubai, you should definitely go for a dhow dinner cruise or a dinner safari. Adding them to your travel itinerary ensures that you not only enjoy an authentic Dubai experience, but also get to save on additional dining expenses. Lunch experiences at a few restaurants are also available as part of your city pass.
  7. There may be attractions in Dubai that you would like to visit but they aren’t a part of your Dubai city pass attractions list. Ensure you plan around them carefully and don’t miss out on something you would have loved to visit.
  8. With each city pass, you get a Dubai guide with a map. These guide give you valuable information on the pass, the attractions, their timings, redemption processes and more. Using the guidebooks appropriately will save you a lot of needless research and work.
  9. There may be a lot of attractions for you to choose from. However, enjoy each one comfortably and give yourself enough time. What good is a holiday of you’re unable to enjoy it?
