Written by Jim Steinman, Bat Out Of Hell is a rock musical that uses songs all written by him, many of which were previously recorded by Meat Loaf on his studio albums, Bat Out of Hell and Bat Out of Hell II: Back into Hell, which had estimated worldwide sales of over $43 million. Considered to be the biggest rock musical since We Will Rock You, this critically acclaimed musical extravaganza features hit songs recorded by rock legend Meat Loaf including “I’d Do Anything for Love”, “You Took the Words Right Out of My Mouth (Hot Summer Night)”, “Paradise by the Dashboard Light”, “Two Out of Three Ain’t Bad”, and, of course, the title track “Bat Out of Hell”.
Directed by Jay Scheib, this wildly successful musical opened at the Manchester Opera House on February 17, 2017, before transferring to the London Coliseum, and Toronto, Canada's Ed Mirvish Theatre in late 2017. It is now scheduled to return to London’s Dominion Theatre in 2018.
