About the Show
Luke Sheppard directs the ‘& Juliet, Her Musical’ whose last production ‘In the Heights’ swept away three Olivier awards. The cast is led by Miriam Teak-Lee who was in the original West End cast of ‘Hamilton,’ and she will be joined by a veteran cast of Cassidy Janson, Oliver Tompsett, Arun-Blair-Mangat, Melanie La Barrie, Jordan Luke Gage, and Tim Mahendran. The creative team is a talented group with Jennifer Weber in charge of choreography, set design by Souta Gilmore, costumes by Paloma Young, and music direction, arrangement, and orchestration by Dominic Fallacaro and Bill Sherman. The musical runs for 2 hours and 30 minutes with one break.
‘This is not my ending; this is my beginning’; this fabulous interpretation of Shakespeare’s tragedy play ‘Romeo and Juliet’ sees Juliet taking charge of her destiny. The original play had Juliet take the dagger to her heart and die for her love, Romeo, but in this fun and irreverent musical, she decides to go on a girl’s trip! She takes her Nurse and best girlfriends and goes on a trip to the City of lights – Paris. She figures Romeo is her first boyfriend and life is too exciting to die for him, much to the chagrin of Mr. And Mrs. Shakespeare.
The show features the best songs of ‘Max Martin’ who has written hits for pop stars like Britney Spears, Celine Dion, Backstreet Boys, Pink, and Katy Perry. The songs that will play at the musical are ‘Baby One More Time,’ ‘Can’t Feel My Face,’ ‘Everybody (Backstreet’s Back),’ and ‘Love Me Like You Do.’ Catch ‘& Juliet, Her Musical’ this holiday season and join Juliet in her shenanigans!
